Questions
What is the VAT rate in Slovenia?
The standard DDV rate in Slovenia is 22%. Reduced rates of 9.5% and 5% also apply. Typically food, books, medicines, passenger transport and cultural admissions.
How do I add 22% VAT to a price?
Multiply the net amount by 1.22. For example, 100,00 € net becomes 122,00 € gross, of which 22,00 € is VAT.
How do I remove 22% VAT from a total?
Divide the gross amount by 1.22 — do not subtract 22%. A 122,00 € gross total contains 22,00 € of VAT, leaving 100,00 € net. Subtracting 22% instead would give the wrong answer.
