This places a signature image on a PDF page. It does not verify who signed or detect later changes, and the image can be copied or removed.
Check the saved placement and whether the recipient requires a certificate-based signature or another signing process.
How to use
- Draw your signature. Choose a pen and draw on the pad. Use Undo or Clear to correct it.
- Open the PDF and choose a page. For a longer document, use the Page field to find the signature line.
- Place and size the signature. Click the page where it belongs, then adjust Signature size.
- Sign & download PDF. Open the saved file to check the actual placement, especially on a rotated page. Keep the unsigned original.
Questions
Is this a certificate-based digital signature?
No. It adds a handwriting image without verifying identity or recording a signing audit trail. The image can be copied or removed. Use the recipient’s required signing process when they need those assurances.
Does it preserve selectable text?
The PDF pages are not rasterised during signing; the signature is added as an image. Existing text can remain selectable, but existing digital signatures may no longer validate after the document is edited.
Can I add signatures on several pages?
This tool places one signature per download. Open the saved copy for another placement, checking each result as you go.
What if the file is password-protected?
Use an unencrypted copy you have permission to edit. The unlock tool here makes an image-based PDF, so it sacrifices searchable text, forms and accessibility structure. Choose a PDF editor’s password-removal option if you need to retain those features.
