Questions
What DPI should I choose?
150 DPI is the right starting point — sharp on any screen without producing huge files. Go to 300 DPI if the image will be printed or if you need to read small print in a scan. 72 or 96 DPI is only worth it when you want a quick thumbnail.
JPEG or PNG?
JPEG for pages with photographs, scans or gradients: far smaller, and the compression is invisible at 80% quality. PNG for pages that are mostly text, line art or screenshots — it is lossless, so edges stay crisp, but the files can be several times larger.
Can I export just a few pages?
Yes. Leave the page box empty for every page, or type something like 1-3,5 to pick specific ones. Ranges may be written in either direction.
Why does each page download separately?
Because that is what people almost always want — one image per page, named after the source file and numbered in order. If you need them zipped together, your operating system will do that in one step once they have arrived.
Is my document uploaded?
No. The PDF is rendered by your browser and the images are produced on your device. Nothing leaves your computer, which matters for anything confidential.
