Almond Flour: cups to grams

1 US cup of almond flour
About 96 grams
About 3.4 oz by weight · US cup estimate

Use this estimate for almond flour. Coarser almond meal can fill a cup differently, and the reference chart lists it separately. A matching cup amount does not make almond flour a direct replacement for wheat flour in a recipe.

Almond Flour cups to grams

Estimated weight of almond flour in US customary cups. Grams are rounded to whole numbers; oz means weight ounces, not fluid ounces.

Measuring tip

Break up soft clumps, spoon into the cup and level without pressing. If a recipe specifies a brand, grind or weight, follow that detail; scooping from a settled bag can give a heavier cup than this estimate.

Combining a cup and a half of almond flour

For a recipe using one and a half cups of almond flour, weigh the total after loosening any clumps. Prefer the recipe’s own weight when its grind or brand differs from your flour.

Choose the cup size in the recipe

The same ingredient fills a larger cup with more weight. These comparisons keep the stored density fixed and change only the cup capacity. Use a marked measuring cup, not a drinking mug.

  • US customary: the basis of both ingredient tables above. The tablespoon column uses 16 US tablespoons per cup.
  • UK recipes: follow the author’s stated cup capacity or use the supplied grams or millilitres. A UK recipe does not automatically mean a 250 mL cup.
  • Fluid ounces: US and UK markings describe different volumes. They are separate choices in the volume converter below, and neither is an ounce by weight.

Convert cooking volumes

Use this calculator to change between cups, millilitres, decilitres and spoons. Select the measurement system printed in the recipe. It converts volume only; use the ingredient tables above for estimated grams.

Questions

How many grams is 1 cup of almond flour?

This chart estimates about 96 grams per US customary cup of almond flour. It is a stored kitchen estimate, not an exact weight for every brand or measuring method. Use the recipe’s gram amount if one is given.

How many cups is 100 g of almond flour?

Using this estimate, 100 g is about 1.04 US cups. The table also expresses that same total volume as approximately 16.7 US tablespoons; those spoonfuls are not extra to add to the cups.

Why does my recipe give a different weight per cup?

Cup size, preparation and the way the ingredient fills the measure can differ. A loose powder has air between its particles; packing it makes more fit. Liquids also have different densities. A recipe’s own weight is the better choice for reproducing that recipe.

Which cup should I use for a US or UK recipe?

These charts use the US customary cup, about 236.59 mL. Use the author’s stated capacity for a UK recipe rather than choosing by country alone. If it specifies a 250 mL metric cup, the same density estimate gives about 101 g of almond flour per cup. The 240 mL US legal cup is another distinct setting.

How to use the estimate and check a reference

The tables scale ToolsNow’s stored estimate of 96 g per US customary cup of almond flour. To convert another cup amount, multiply it by that weight. To work backwards from grams, divide by the same weight. Round at the end rather than adding together already-rounded table rows.

For comparison, King Arthur Baking’s ingredient weight chart gives weights with preparation notes, including packed brown sugar and unsifted confectioners’ sugar. These pages retain ToolsNow’s own estimates; they are not a reproduction of that chart. When your recipe or product gives a different weight, prefer that more specific reference.
