The calendar breakdown and the flat totals answer different questions. Two months is 59, 61 or 62 days depending on which months — so the calendar figure and total days will not divide neatly into each other.
How to use
- Enter the start date and time. Both date and time of day.
- Enter the end date and time. Reversing them still works — you get the gap as a positive duration.

Questions
Why do the calendar breakdown and total days not match?
Because calendar months have different lengths. "Two months" can be 59, 60, 61 or 62 days depending on which months they are, so a breakdown of 2 months 14 days does not divide neatly into a day count.
What if I enter the dates the wrong way round?
It still works. The duration is shown as a positive figure with a note that the second date is earlier.
Is this useful for billing hours?
For a single continuous period, yes — the total hours and minutes figure is what you want. For a week of separate shifts with breaks, use the timesheet calculator instead.
