How to use

Questions
Why is the time treated as UTC?
So a shared countdown is unambiguous. If it used your local clock, someone in another timezone would see a different number for the same event — and a daylight-saving change would shift it by an hour mid-countdown.
Does it keep running if I switch tabs?
It recalculates from the actual clock each second rather than counting ticks, so it stays accurate however long the tab was in the background.
Can I count down to something in the past?
Yes — it flips to showing elapsed time instead, which is useful for tracking how long since something happened.
