Rolls use your browser’s random number generator. Each die is rolled separately; a short run can include repeated results. The d100 option gives one number from 1 to 100.
How to use
- Pick a die. Choose d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 or d100. The number is how many possible faces it has.
- Set Number of dice. For 2d6, choose d6 and enter 2. You can roll up to 100 dice at once.
- Roll. Use the individual values or Total as your game requires. Recent totals appear under Previous.
Questions
How are results chosen?
The tool uses the browser’s cryptographic random source and rejection sampling to avoid favouring a face. Each roll is independent. That does not mean a short run will include every number equally often.
Can I roll advantage or disadvantage?
Choose d20 and roll two dice. Take the higher value for advantage or the lower for disadvantage. The tool displays both; it does not choose for you or add a game modifier.
What does Average die describe?
It is the average within the latest roll, not across your session. A d6’s long-run average is 3.5, but a handful of dice can easily land above or below it.
