How to use
- Paste the word or list. For a list, keep each entry on its own line.
- Choose What to reverse. Reverse line order moves the last line first. Reverse letters within each word keeps the word positions but reverses their contents.
- Check and copy. Review punctuation and spacing, then use Copy result. Use as input lets you apply a second mode to the result.
Questions
Will emoji and accented letters stay together?
Character reversal uses graphemes where the browser supports them, keeping combined emoji and accents together. In older browsers it falls back to code points, which can separate the parts of a combined character.
What is the difference between the word modes?
"Reverse word order" turns "one two three" into "three two one", keeping each word readable. "Reverse letters within each word" turns it into "eno owt eerht", keeping the words in place.
Will spaces and punctuation stay in place?
Reverse word order joins the words with single spaces, removing the original line breaks and repeated spaces. Reverse letters within each word preserves the whitespace, but punctuation moves with the letters: "hello!" becomes "!olleh".
Does this make mirrored or upside-down letters?
No. It rearranges the existing characters rather than drawing mirror images or replacing them with upside-down lookalikes.
