Why use lorem ipsum instead of real text?
Because readable copy pulls attention to the words rather than the layout. Nonsense Latin lets reviewers judge spacing, hierarchy and line length without reading — which is the point of a mockup.
Where does lorem ipsum come from?
It is scrambled text from Cicero’s "De finibus bonorum et malorum", written in 45 BC. Typesetters have used it as filler since at least the 1500s.
Does the same setting always give the same text?
Yes. The output is deterministic for a given set of options, so the text does not reshuffle while you are adjusting the count.
Can I get HTML with paragraph tags?
Switch the format to HTML. Paragraphs come wrapped in <p> tags, and list items come as a complete <ul> block.
